Cameron Stoltz, Director of Space Requirements for the Canadian Armed Forces, will deliver a Canadian MILSATCOM update that will cover the Canadian Polar SATCOM project, Canada's narrowband SATCOM status, and future of SATCOM in Canada.
Kirk Leech of New Zealand's Defence Force will discuss that country's tactical communications modernization program, including their approach to commercial satellite requirements and their future SATCOM capability.
Dr. Olivia Samardzic of the Australian Department of Defence will provide an update on the development of the Australian Defence SATCOM System (ADSS), including the progress made so far to enable Joint C2 for deployed Joint Task Forces and key goals for enhanced capacity and range. Dr. Samardzic will also address the JP 9102 mission systems program roadmap and the timelines for narrowband, wideband, and ground segment requirements; ADSS needs in terms of capacity, connectivity, flexibility, interoperability, agility, resilience, supportability, and coverage; and using international partnerships as a force multiplier.
Hungary's Lieutenant Colonel Attila Horvath will update attendees on the status of the Hungarian Defence Forces SATCOM modernization program including the need for tactical SATCOM; the selection of L-TAC and the exercise Jackal Cave experience; and equipment integration into H145M and H225M helicopters and land combat vehicles.
Colonel Mihai Burlacu, Deputy Head of Communications and IT for the Romanian Defence Staff, will give an update on that country's MILSATCOM program, while Commandant Nicolas Gerome, Head of Space Office for the Belgium Ministry of Defence, will provide that country's perspective on coping with the growing demand in wideband, securing narrowband resources, and the European Protected Waveform.
